For many years, Ron Stange has been the heart of Camp Phillips, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the property was always welcoming, safe, and ready for Scouts and visitors. From keeping the grounds beautifully maintained and preparing cabins and McCormick Lodge for each group to making sure equipment was running when needed, Ron's dedication and stewardship have left a lasting impact on generations of Scouts.
As we begin a new chapter with the sale of Camp Phillips, we invite you to help us celebrate Ron and thank him for his years of outstanding service to Samoset Scouting. While Ron will continue assisting with projects at the Service Center, we feel it is only fitting to honor him at the camp he has cared for so faithfully.
Please join us on August 16, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Camp Phillips as we recognize Ron's contributions and share our appreciation for all he has done. To RSVP, please email support@samoset.org or call 715-355-1450. We hope you'll join us in celebrating a true friend of Scouting! | | | | Samoset Council Jamboree Registration Now Open!
